Drainage Inspection Package

Our Drainage Inspection Package includes:

Video, Gutters and Downspouts, Ground Slope, Landscape Hazards, Rodent Guard tips, and Irrigation Inspection Services as described below.

A Certificate of Inspection is issued when all systems have been inspected and approved by Nanaimo Drainage.

We use a waterproof pipe camera in the perimeter drain and rain leader systems of the house. If there’s something that needs repair, we’ll provide a plan.

In order for your drainage system to work efficiently, the water has to get there! We inspect your gutters and downspouts. Interior moisture issues can occur due to overflowing gutters and broken or missing downspouts. If there’s a problem, we’ll provide solutions.

Is the ground surface around the house sloped correctly? BC Building Code suggests a minimum 5% slope away from the foundation where possible. This prevents pooling and keeps foundation walls dry. We can provide options.

Trees and shrubs growing too close to a foundation eventually cause issues. Roots grow in and around the drain pipes, eventually causing system failure. We’ll discover if the system is at risk.

Mice, rats, and snakes love living in the drainage system! It is common for these unwelcome guests to enter where the gutter downspouts meet the drain pipe at ground level. We can install guards to allow water in, but keep them out!

Accessible and workable shut off valves are important when a break in a high pressure irrigation line occurs. We install, repair and inspect irrigation shut off valves.
